Check into The Courtyard Apartments from 1pm, where you a can rustle up a quick and easy lunch in our modern self-catering apartments.

If walking or cycling takes your fancy then why not head to Leitrim Village, only 10 minutes drive. From there you can take in all the natural beauty of the newly designed shannon Blueway walk ending at Acres Lake Floating Boardwalk or hire Electric Bikes to enjoy all the splendour which Acres Lake Floating Boardwalk can bring.

When visiting Drumshanbo, why not pop into the Sweet Geranium and have a cup of coffee plus a delicious treat before returning back to The Courtyard Apartments.

Enjoy a Lazy Morning at the Courtyard apartments before getting ready for another day of adventure in Leitrim.

Pack a Picnic and head to one of Ireland Hidden Heartlands treasures; Lough Key Forest Park, only a 10 minute drive from the complex. Enjoy all this park has to offer from Ziplining Activity, Boda Borg activity or just go and feed the ducks, a great way to spend 2 or 3 hours with the family.

Enjoy Carrick on Shannon nightlife at The Barrelstore or Murtaghs.

3 Day Adventure at The Courtyard Apartments

Check into The Courtyard Apartments, drop the bags and chill after traveling.

Why not take a relaxing trip on the Moon River where you can take in all the River Shannon has to offer, while having a beer and listening to some traditional music? It is a lovely way to get the holiday started.

Afterwards have a chilled out lunch in a number of our Local Cafes - Lena’s Tea Room, Synergy Café, Crumbs Café or The Boardwalk Café at the Landmark Hotel.

To work off the lunch, take a  sign-posted walk through Carrick on Shannon, taking in many of our historical sites such as Costello Memorial Chapel, Presentations House, The Famine Workhouse Attic museum.


Enjoy a day away from hustle and bustle where you can do the following activities:

A specialty walk with Leitrim Landscapes Guided Walks.  Guides have a rich knowledge of the area, its history, folklore, flora and fauna and specialise in foraging and archaeology.

Exploring Leitrim’s waterways by Canadian Canoe and Cycling the easy way with an electric bike experience with Electric Bike Trails.

Gather mushroom, berries and treasured memories on our nature, archaeology and foraging walks. Paddle gently through our waterways and see the landscape from a different perspective and pedal effortlessly over the rolling hills of the Leitrim.
